Historical Background:
The Antonov An-12BP with registration UR-CKM was manufactured in 1972 and originally operated under Aeroflot during the Soviet era, flying with tail number CCCP-11526. In the post-Soviet period, the aircraft was used by several Eastern European and Central Asian cargo operators, including Vega Air and ATMA, performing charter and freight missions across the CIS and Balkans. In 2013, it was acquired by Ukrainian cargo carrier Cavok Airlines and repainted in its now-iconic orange-and-black livery. Since then, the aircraft has been actively flying cargo routes across Europe, regularly operating in and out of airports such as Leipzig (Germany), Ostend (Belgium), Istanbul (Turkey), and Warsaw (Poland), often carrying urgent freight and industrial equipment.
