Historical Background:
The Antonov An-12BK with registration UN-11650, serial number 6344305, was manufactured in 1966 and originally delivered to the Iraqi Air Force as aircraft number “685”. By the mid-1970s, it was re-registered as YI-AES under Iraqi Airways. In 1983, it was transferred to the Royal Jordanian Air Force, where it operated under the code “351”. Later it was leased by Balkan Bulgarian Airlines and carried various civil registrations. On 25 February 2003, the aircraft was registered to Almaty Aviation as UN-11650, where it operated regional cargo missions. In 2008, it was re-registered as UP-AN215 under Airmark Indonesia. The aircraft was last seen stored in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and was likely scrapped in 2013.
