Historical Background: An-22 “Antei”
The An-22 is the world’s first large turboprop transport aircraft. Developed in the 1960s by the Antonov Design Bureau, it became famous for its impressive size and ability to carry over 60 tons of cargo. Aircraft UR-09307 performed unique transport missions worldwide. Its last recorded flight took place in January 2020.
