The AN-72 is a light jet transport airplane designed to operate on unequipped runways up to 600 meters long. It is able to take off and land at short distances due to powerful wing mechanizations and improved thrust-to-weight ratio. 
The AN-72 belonging to the National Guard of Ukraine has the tail number "03". This aircraft is used for a variety of missions, including patrolling, military transportation and humanitarian aid.
